Jessica had already built a name for herself, first as a wedding photographer, now as a holistic marketing partner for creative entrepreneurs.
As a solo brand photographer, content creator, and social media manager, she'd built a business with a clear point of view and clients who trusted her with their brand from day one.
What she didn't have yet was the back-end structure to match it. Her goal has always been to make her clients’ lives easier, which became more challenging as bookings picked up. She'd considered hiring help, but what she really wanted was a repeatable system that let her show up for her clients well, without adding more to her plate.
THE APPROACH
Alongside kicked off with an Anchoring Session, where we mapped a clear plan together. From there, my role was coaching, resources, and accountability, while Jessica did the building. We started where the friction was loudest: the handoff between booking and onboarding.
From there, the plan expanded outward, covering the full arc from a client’s first inquiry to renewed engagement.
What Jessica Built
✔ A discovery call script, tested and refined through real calls until it felt like hers and thoroughly represented her brand and services
✔ A warmer outreach strategy for reconnecting with past leads and ideal clients, opting for a relationship-first check-in approach instead of cold pitches
✔ A streamlined inquiry flow, collecting client preferences upfront and making it easy for clients to book while ensuring Jessica walks into every call fully prepared.
✔ A refreshed onboarding experience, from an automated confirmation email to a consolidated onboarding call and handwritten thank-you cards
✔ A quarterly CEO day framework, dedicated time to generate new business through new leads and current clients
“I came into this feeling overwhelmed with systems, and even after our initial call, I felt a weight lifted. It's like you could tell what I needed even if I didn't have the words to explain it myself.”

In Jessica’s Own Words
"I came into this summer feeling completely overwhelmed by new client inquiries, discovery call agendas, and client workflows. Luz helped me come up with a clear plan and new script for my discovery calls, and it resulted in 2 new signed contracts. She also helped me come up with an onboarding workflow for my social media clients that not only keeps me more sane but is also way more beneficial for my clients. Working with Luz this summer helped me streamline my processes, allowing me to still have time with my kids while also booking new clients and serving them well. I'm so grateful!"
Just weeks after wrapping Alongside, that clarity kept compounding.
A resource on delegation helped Jessica identify exactly which tasks were ready to hand off, and she's since drafted a job description and set a hiring timeline for September.
Jessica never wanted to hire out of overwhelm. What she wanted was the clarity to make that call on her own terms, and that's exactly what happened. That tension, knowing your work but not yet having the structure to hold it, isn't unique to social media management.
Jessica's story is specific to her business, but the tension she was carrying isn't unique to social media management.
The messy middle can look like knowing exactly who you serve, and still searching for the structure to match that clarity, until the day the systems catch up.
If this sounds familiar, I'd love to hear what you're building. Get in touch here.
